DocAviv -- the Tel Aviv International Documentary Film Festival

“How does a small country like Israel become the world's third largest weapons manufacturer and exporter? The answers to these questions, and many others, are presented in this chilling investigative documentary.
" San Francisco Jewish Film Festival

“The Lab” is an investigative film in the best sense.
DOK Leipzig -- International Leipzig Festival for Documentary Film

“Utilizing unprecedented access to leading Israeli weapons salesmen, The Lab follows some of the industry’s heavyweights into a chilling and morally questionable world. It explores the demand for Israeli military know-how — often by the very states publicly denouncing Israel at every opportunity — to combat the growing threat of armed resistance and guerrilla forces in regions beyond the Middle East.”
Jewish International Film Festival

Since 9/11, the Israeli arms industries have become big business. Large Israeli companies develop and test the equipment of future warfare, which is then sold worldwide by private Israeli agents. This process is intertwined with and validated by a network of Israeli army commanders and politicians, as well as Israeli theoreticians who consult foreign countries on how to defeat civil and para-military resistance. The center of the development process is referred to as "The Lab". It has helped transform the Israeli military occupation of Gaza and the West Bank from a burden into a marketable, highly-profitable, national asset as well.
